We are resending our welcome letter to an updated mailing list. It seemed that in some cases the computer system pulled the student's emergency contact instead of a parent email. If you feel like you are receiving this as an error (perhaps you are a grandparent, aunt/uncle, or a neighbor of a band student), please reply and I'll remove you from the list and add the parent/guardian instead. Thanks for your help!
We will also be archiving all of the mass band news emails on our website so you can have a one-stop-shop to find any news or reminders. http://mainesouthband.weebly.com/announcements-band-news
We have no new updates regarding next season at this time but please know that we are heavily engaged in every update from our professional organizations, state and local officials, and watching how others are approaching marching bands or other instrumental activities. We are also planning to work together with the other band directors in the district to create a new band curriculum that will be designed to be delivered in a variety of settings. Finally, we are taking graduate classes this summer to learn how to more effectively teach online or in a blended setting so we will be prepared for any and every possible scenario in the fall.
I don't plan on sending any more mass emails until mid to late summer unless there are major updates. So, go practice and we will see you soon!
